Awards

The Nebraska School Counselor Association (NSCA) strives to recognize excellence within the school counseling profession in our great state by offering NSCA awards and by highlighting those that have be recognized nationally by the American School Counselor Associaiton (ASCA).  Currently NSCA awards an Elementary School Counselor of the Year Award, a Middle School Counselor of the Year Award, a High School Counselor of the Year Award, and an Administrator of the Year Award at the awards luncheon held during the Annual School Counselor Academy.  The recipients of the Elementary, Middle and High School Counselors of the Year are the finalists for the Nebraska School Counselor of the Year which is awarded during a formal dinner in February.  The Nebraska School Counselor of the Year then goes on to represent Nebraska in the American School Counselor Associaiton School Counselor of the Year competition.
